Terms and Conditions

If you call to inquire about a repair, we will give you an indication of its cost. This is only an indication, however. An accurate estimate of quotation cannot be given until we have inspected the equipment.

If you accept an estimate/quotation for a repair which involves ordering spare parts from a third party, these parts cannot be cancelled once they are ordered. Iin the event of a cancellation of the repair, you will be required to pay for any parts ordered which will then be delivered to you.

Call Outs
Repairs will normally be carried out in your home or business premises. In all cases, we charge an inspection fee to cover travel and time spent dismantling, checking and reassembling the equipment and enquiring about parts’ prices and availability.

Terms of Payment
Customers can pay by cash, BACS or cheque on completion of a repair or sale. We do not accept credit or debit cards. Should the cheque be returned unpaid, we require the money to be paid immediately via BACS. If we return to the customer to collect cash or a further cheque, a £50 fee will be applied

Outstanding Invoices/Payments
We require payment to be made on completion of the job, if the product is to be dropped off/collected from me, only cash will be accepted. Should payment not be made, for example, if a cheque is returned unpaid, or the Buyer refuses to pay the product(s) / services supplied, then we reserve the right to sue any Debtor for full payment of all outstanding invoices. In such an event, the Buyer shall be responsible for any legal costs in the preparation and completion of us action for debt.

Areas Covered
We cover north London, north west London, Middlesex and Hertfordshire. If you buy a product from us, or have your product repaired by us and subsequently move out of the area we cover before the product is delivered or the repair completed, you will be expected to collect the product from us.

There is a minimum 3 month guarantee on all our repairs. This is only for both parts fitted and labour associated with that repair. It does not cover the entire product. Refurbished products are guaranteed for a minimum of 3 months for both parts and labour. New products are guaranteed for a minimum of 1 year and are subject to the manufacturers guarantee terms.

All products sold by Michael Maurice Repairs are guaranteed against failure in normal use. The following exclusions apply: external damage, cracked or broken screens (including internal damage), storm damage, lightening strikes, water or liquid ingress however caused.

Subsequent Faults
Should a product be repaired and a different fault occur which produces the same or similar symptoms, this is not covered by our guarantee.

Goods and Spare Parts
The title to goods and spare parts remains with Michael Maurice Repairs until paid for in full.

Statutory Rights
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
